Description: 1.806 mile street course used in the past by CART, and now by IRL and SSCA. The track uses St. Petersburg streets as well as an airstrip.

Installation instructions:
Unzip to your Nascar2003/tracks directory.

Some base setups included. Other good ones to try are Watkins Glen and Sebring.

The pits hold 43 cars. The track will be real crowded with a full field and the fps may be too low. The track was primarily tested with fields of 25 (or less) TPTCC cars, but with a 6600GT I maintained 30 fps for a low with a field of 36 trucks. 25 GN70 cars bring my system to its knees.

Cars start a bit slow; the more cars, the slower they are while 2 wide. They will get faster.

OPTIONS:
There is a "Lite" folder in the track folder, with optional boats by Raybee1970. If you experience unacceptable fps in T1, add these files to the track folder. The light version is better on my Athlon 1700XP with a G4200-128-4x.

Day/night reflection environment mips. The cars almost look better with night ones. To try the night reflections, move the 3 day environment mips out of the track folder.

There are several "truck_*.mip" files in the main folder. These overwrite standard papy haulers. To get papy haulers, simply remove/rename these files. The Playstation demonstration hauler (truck_val) really is present at the real race.

There is a folder with different LPs for the GTP mod made by fortino_oo. If you want to try them, save the default ones and move the GTP ones into the main track folder.

Known Bugs:
Some graphic flicker/roll/flashing of certain objects depending on your gfx card. One of my machines does A and not B, and my second machine does B but not A.

The heavy version of this track can be hard on gfx cards. It has caused my 6600GT-128 to lock up a couple of times.

Credits:
This track was initially created by Justin9 from a conversion of a track created for ICR2/CART. Additional editing was done by Phantom, BOWTIE, steveb73 and Raybee1970. AI by steveb73. GTP LPs by fortino_oo. Lite version boats converted by Raybee1970.

Comments:
Because this is a conversion, it presented some limitations to the editors. The layout is fairly accurate; the graphics are not. The trackside objects are borrowed from a wide variety of sources. So...... NO, ITS NOT COMPLETELY ACCURATE. It is simply an attempt to "resemble" the look of the St. Petersburg course, intended for your enjoyment in playing the game.

Objects have been borrowed from a variety of existing tracks, including several papyrus tracks, including the original ICR2 version. Some objects were already in place when the final editors took the project over; we have no clue where some of the building objects came from. A building came from Gotzenburg; a crane and people from Butibamba, trees from Bridgehampton, haulers from Laguna_05, boats from Fujita, and several objects came out of Thornton.
